I decided to make the second idea. I started with making basic designs for all the various objects needed. At this point I kept them simple and basic.
The coding for the game was the most difficult part. Although I had done a lot of scripting using action script before hand, I never attempted anything like this before, so it was somewhat of a hit and miss.
